Boot from SD on 3399?

Is it possible to boot from SD card to get the install process going? I’m having trouble flashing the emmc and hoping to bypass that process and use a process I’m a little more familiar with.

Do you have a time frame when this will be released? We have an OS on microSD that would be great to run on the Firefly.

find the “Firefly-rk3399_xubuntu1604_SD_201705151725.7z” file in our google driver.

I download Firefly-rk3399_xubuntu1604_SD_201705151725.7z and write to a sd card using window imagewriter.
However, I am not able to boot from sd. Booting after power reset is still from an internal flash memory

Do we have any board jumper or similar to setting up SD boot mode?

No. Which jumper ? Is there a documentation to describe jumper setting for SD boot?

Then How to use BOOT from SD, it’s always booting from eMMC or any booting order?

if your emmc is not empty.your need flash our latest ubuntu firmware(without SD symbol) into emmc.

I’m able to boot from eMMC..all works fine.. I need to boot the board from SDMMC..Please let me know how to do that?

the loader is needed.
2 write this firmware to you SDcard https://drive.google.com/drive/u/0/folders/0B7HO8lbGgAqAamx6cXd6b205eEk with dd command.
3 insert the card, and reboot the board.

Isle, I can confirm that this image do work to boot up from SD card. Did try everything else before. I was unable to flash the emmc drive through usb-C cable and upgrade_tool. Thanks for this solution. Now the documents for firefly rk3399 are much better. One have to have the ability to boot from SD also if USB flashing is somehow not working. It would be nice to have a jumper on the board.
