Linux computer cannot detect RK3399

Device: Firefly RK3399
Computer: Ubuntu 16.04 LTS
Android version: 7.1.2

the command

lsusb

does not reveal the device, and the command

adb devices

returns an empty list of devices.

I checked the cable I am using with another Android device (Samsung phone) and it works using

adb devices

I also tried

sudo adb kill-server

and then

adb start-server

but it did not work.

Also tried this: http://wiki.t-firefly.com/ROC-RK3328-CC/android_adb.html

… it resulted in adb not detecting anything (did not detect the RK3399 or the phone)

any help is appreciated :smiley:

Try another cable of the Type-C and PC usb port.
