Hello,I have been trying to interface a sensor that communicates through the I2C protocol with the dev board ROC-RK3328-cc’s SDA0 and SCL0 pins( pin 3 and pin 5). I have flashed Ubuntu 22.04 server version OS in this processor and was successful in installing the i2ctools package involving the required library packages. I am unable to detect the sensor on either of the i2c bus of the system using debugging i2ctools commands such as i2cdetect and i2cdump and i2cget. I hope to get help for the following problems, thank you in advance,
- How do I interface the i2c device physically to the dev board?
- Do I have to add pull-up resistors?
- i2cdetect command does not detect the sensor in the system. How do I debug if the dev board is able to detect the i2c device?
I have attached debug commands I used to verify if the sensor is connected to the board and which i2c bus, pfa. The sensor’s address is 0x41 but while using command: i2cdetect -y 1 the address doesn’t show up.
