A community map is a great idea for helping members see where everyone is located and making an online forum feel a little more connected. It is interesting to discover that people with similar interests can be spread across different cities and countries. A map also gives new members an easy way to get a sense of how international the community has become.
I think it could be especially useful if members can add their location voluntarily while keeping the information general enough to protect privacy. Seeing clusters of users in different regions might even lead to local meetups or conversations between people who otherwise would never have found each other. In between browsing community updates, can be a simple way to take a short break and switch topics. I’m curious to see how the map develops as more members join in.
"Hi , thank you so much for this wonderful suggestion! ![]()
We completely agree—a community map would be a fantastic way to visualize our global family and make everyone feel more connected. We also really appreciate your point about privacy; ensuring members can share their location voluntarily and generally is definitely a priority for us.
The idea of sparking local meetups is something we’d love to see happen, too! We are currently exploring the best tools to implement this. In the meantime, we’d love to know: would you prefer a simple interactive map embedded in the forum, or perhaps a dedicated thread where members can introduce themselves by region?
Thanks again for helping us make this community better!"
